Fitness Model Interview:Elaine Seth |
| Interview Questions: 1. What is your background? How did you get started in the fitness industry? I have a background in fitness promotions as well as print work. The first fitness model promotion I worked was for Stairmaster at IHRSA.
Placing in the top 10 at the WTF 2000.
I am an NSCA certified Personal Trainer.
My immediate goals are to give a strong showing at my competitions this season. Long term, I hope to leave a positive lasting impression on the fitness industry.
My typical day begins at 4:45 am. I train my first client at 6 am, and train either in the middle of the day or in the evening.
My normal diet is high to moderate protein, low carbs and fat. To stay in shape, I eat small meals frequently throughout the day.
Monday is an off day. Tuesday: I train at the Marine/Navy reserve base in Miami for the obstacle course. Wednesday: circuit training and cardio. Thursday: Sprints. Cardio in the morning and evening. Friday: weight training for the upper body as well as cardio in the morning and evening. Saturday: boot camp focusing on speed, anaerobic conditioning and plyometrics. Sunday: cardio in the morning and evening.
I use protein powder as well as glutamine and a multivitamin.
Knowing that I am not my personal best and regardless of my progress, there is always room for continuous improvement.
Do your homework! Ask questions and know what you are getting into as well as what is expected from you. Know who you are working with. Never take a photo that you are not comfortable having the entire world view.
I would encourage them to moderate. A quick fix usually does not last and usually ends in the rebound effect. Slow and steady is the pace!
Many competitors segregate themselves according to the federation that they compete in. I feel that we are all athletes and work very hard to attain our goals. We should all support and encourage each other, regardless of what federation we are actively participating in.
I would like to say that regardless of where you have been or what you have been through, never stop believing in yourself or your dreams! Even on your worst day, there is someone somewhere that thinks the world of you and wishes you the best!
