The Windsor Pilates videos are definitely some of the most popular home fitness videos on the market. They provide several different Pilates-style workouts which focus on toning, strengthening, and stretching the different areas of the body. Mari Windsor, a very well-known Pilates instructor based in California, is the creator of this popular workout video series. Although no Pilates videos are as good as learning from a Pilates instructor in person (i.e. classes, one-on-one instruction, etc.) the Windsor Pilates workouts do provide a challenging and effective form of home exercise. If you have some experience with Pilates moves you should have no problem following the videos. If you're a Pilates beginner you may want to take a few "real" classes before you begin on the Windsor Pilates system. One good thing about the Windsor Pilates videos is that they give you several workout options as opposed to one workout that you must do each time. If you're short on time or just don't have a whole lot of energy, the "20 Minute Workout" is a great full-body workout. You also have the option to focus on problem areas with the Bun & Thigh or Ab videos. More advanced users can get a great workout by following the very-challenging "Accelerated Body Sculpting" video. For the price (about $40) the Windsor Pilates video package is a pretty decent deal, especially since it comes with several "bonuses" that include a portable exercise guide for traveling and a decent weight loss-focused eating plan. But, as with all home workout systems, the trick to getting real fitness, weight loss, and health benefits from the Windsor Pilates system is to actually USE it on a regular basis, rather than just tossing it in a drawer 2 weeks after you buy it!
